Environmental Issues
Along with our other duties, we also provide information on a
variety of other issues.
We address calls about Rabies, West Nile Virus and Food-borne
illness. We also provide testing for these issues through the State
Public Health Laboratory in Jefferson City.
Other types of testing that can be accomplished include water
samples and lead.
We occasionally get food recalls. When a recall is issued your
local public health agency makes the necessary contacts with
retailers that are involved.
We also address all complaints, regardless of nature, that are
received.
